Laboratory Assistant

About the company/role:

• Growing fertiliser company with a strong passion for innovation and sustainability
• Based close to Geelong
• Casual contracts with high potential to extend or view to go permanent for the right candidate
• Full-time hours, Monday-Friday
• ASAP start

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Perform the routine analytical work for the efficient, effective and safe operation
• Carrying out sampling and analysis in accordance with equipment and process guidelines, safety manuals, maintenance manuals and any other policies and procedures
• Conduct other laboratory work for as requested by the Laboratory or Plant Mangers
• Ensure that the laboratory, equipment and pilot plant areas are always clean, safe and well maintained
• Entering data into software to process and store
• Report any breakdowns of equipment  
• Ensuring strict adherence to biosecurity policies and procedures 

Skills/experience:

• Tertiary education in Science majoring in Biology, Microbiology or Chemistry will be highly regarded
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment is ideal
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Passion and eagerness to learn and ability to multitask
