About the company/role: We are partnering with a world‑leading life sciences organisation to appoint a
Director, Material Flow & Continuous Improvement in Singapore. This role is pivotal in ensuring the site delivers on its production plan, budget, and long‑term operational strategy.
Duties: As the Director of Material Flow & Continuous Improvement, you will lead a high‑performing team responsible for:
- End‑to‑end production planning, including a rolling 12‑week schedule across raw materials, manufacturing, testing, release, and shipment
- Capacity analysis, budget planning, and alignment with global supply strategies
- Governance and execution of the site’s Continuous Improvement (CI) roadmap
- Technical Learning and capability development across the site
- Ensuring planning systems, master data, and processes remain accurate, integrated, and audit‑ready
You will work closely with the Site Leadership Team and cross‑functional partners to drive world‑class manufacturing performance, operational excellence, and a culture of continuous improvement.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES:
- Drive supply performance, ensuring strong collaboration with product teams and global stakeholders
- Lead, support, coach and develop the MF&CI Team to deliver all supply commitments agreed with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure that the correct supply strategy is in place to fit our customer and stakeholder needs.
- Ensure that strategies such as data integrity, SAP integration, and visible production planning are adhered to.
- Deliver Safety and Quality Excellence as measured by the site
- Deliver Supply Excellence as measured by our customer service
- Ensure operational excellence principles are embedded to deliver supply excellence from end to end.
- Support individual development to maximize each colleague’s potential
- Develop project management skills within the team and across the site to ensure that critical projects
Skills/experience:
- 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Business Excellence or Operations functions within a large manufacturing facility.
- Excellent technical, organizational, communication and leadership skills
- Ability to lead a diverse and highly competent team and collaborate across all site functions, including above site to deliver excellence.
- Degree level in an appropriate discipline and have relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or similar industries including API Operational related experience.
- Be a strategic influencer and change agent, the role requires significant leadership skills and proven ability to involve several levels of an organization to successfully meet the objectives.
- Strong working knowledge of MRP/ ERP systems, planning software, preferably SAP.
